A Blasted Appearance

Below is the recent shot taken by the MGS of the Pathfinder landing site. This area was re-imaged as a test to determine if the recently lost MPL could be seen with the MGS.

Next is the Rock Garden from the Pathfinder landing site. Note that the orientation of the objects in the Garden indicate that the impact from the Big Crater could account for the way in which the rocks in the garden are pushed over.

I present this theory as many I have discussed this area with have said that "the area looks blasted" and others have indicated the possibility of this having been a "war zone". The possibility is that a natural cataclysm could be responsible for the destruction of the structures in this area.
